Haul Roads: Development, Dust Suppression and Maintenance

At Divestec Mining Services (Pty) Ltd our team of engineers along with construction and production crew carefully survey and plan haul roads to create thoroughfare for machinery and workers alike. The development and process of such roads include the use of graders, dozers, TLB and excavators to strategically create man-made water storm, water drain and water escape cuts.

The roads are filled with a bitumen-based emulsifier to suppress dust and maximise visibility and safety. The SS60 emulsifier bonds the small fine dust particles so that they are not lifted into the air to formulate into atmospheric dust. We ensure that all roads are routinely checked to suppress dust, apply water and SS60 emulsion product and maintain stability and obstruction free roads.
